Dr. Stephanie Widmer graduated from medical school in 2016 and is triple board certified in Emergency Medicine, Medical Toxicology and Addiction Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship training at NorthShore University Hospital of Northwell Health. Dr. Widmer works full time as an attending physician in the New York / Tri-State area. She is director of the Medical Toxicology service at her current institution and Assistant Program Director of her hospital's Emergency Medicine residency training program. Dr. Widmer is active in research and scholarly activity as the current Chair of the IRB committee. She is passionate about medical journalism, public speaking and is an affiliate of the ABC News medical unit. Dr. Widmer frequently appears as a medical expert on various media outlets.
Stephanie is a dedicated mother of three incredible children. She became a mom during her intern year of residency and earned her membership to the #mamasinmedicine tribe!
Long before medicine and motherhood, Stephanie worked in fashion. Passionate about health, fitness and travel, she is also an interior design and party planning enthusiast.
